  • Heavy-duty reusable fastening: VELCRO® Brand ULTRA-MATE® technology uses a moulded, bidirectional Hook profile to deliver 50% more holding power than standard-strength VELCRO® Brand fasteners.
  • Matching Hook and Loop set: Every option contains equal lengths of the firm Heavy Duty Hook and compatible soft Loop tape, providing both components needed to create a complete fastening.
  • Five useful length options: Choose a 1m, 2m, 5m, 10m or 25m set, all supplied at a broad 50mm width for larger contact areas and demanding mounting applications.
  • Strong self-adhesive backing: The PS51/PS52 pressure-sensitive adhesive system provides peel-and-stick attachment to compatible clean, dry and stable surfaces without drilling or permanent fixings.
  • Indoor and outdoor applications: Suitable for mounting equipment, tools, signs, access panels, storage systems and display components where a strong yet reopenable fastening is required.

VELCRO® Brand Heavy Duty ULTRA-MATE® Black Stick-On Tape

This genuine VELCRO® Brand Heavy Duty fastening combines a moulded ULTRA-MATE® Hook with a compatible woven Loop and a strong PS51/PS52 self-adhesive backing. It is designed for mounting and organisation tasks that require more holding performance than standard woven Hook and Loop tape.

The bidirectional moulded Hook construction provides 50% more holding power than standard-strength VELCRO® Brand fasteners. The broad 50mm width creates a large contact area, making the tape suitable for tools, equipment, signs, access panels, storage systems and display components.

Matching Hook and Loop sets

Every variation contains both sides of the fastening in equal lengths. This product is not supplied as Hook only or Loop only.

  • 1m set: 1m Hook plus 1m Loop
  • 2m set: 2m Hook plus 2m Loop
  • 5m set: 5m Hook plus 5m Loop
  • 10m set: 10m Hook plus 10m Loop
  • 25m set: 25m Hook plus 25m Loop

Typical applications include:

  • Workshop tools and equipment organisation
  • Removable access panels and inspection covers
  • Signs, exhibition boards and retail displays
  • Storage systems, cases and equipment housings
  • Vehicle, garage and work-van organisation
  • Home improvement and general mounting projects

Surface preparation and installation

Apply only to a clean, dry, smooth and stable surface. Remove dust, grease, polish, moisture and loose material before fitting. Weak paint, wallpaper and unstable surface coatings may detach under load even when the adhesive itself remains bonded.

Cut the required length and round the corners where practical to reduce the risk of edge lifting. Remove the protective liner without touching the exposed adhesive, position the tape carefully and press firmly across the complete bonded area.

Allow approximately 24 hours for the adhesive to develop maximum strength before repeatedly opening the fastening or applying substantial weight. Load capacity depends on the surface, contact area, installation quality and direction of force.

The manufacturer states that a correctly applied 50mm × 100mm section can support up to 7kg under suitable conditions. This is a reference value rather than a guarantee for every surface or installation.

Do not apply to PVC, flexible vinyl, fabric, dashboards, dirty surfaces or weak coatings. Do not use underwater, for personal restraint, overhead safety support or where fastening failure could cause injury or serious property damage.

Heavy Duty ULTRA-MATE® Tape
THIS PRODUCT Heavier mounting work, tools, equipment, storage systems, removable panels and demanding indoor or outdoor fastening. Compatible clean metal, glass, sealed wood, acrylic, tiles, painted wallboard and selected rigid plastics. PVC, flexible vinyl, fabric, dashboards, submerged applications and weak or unstable painted surfaces. Moulded bidirectional ULTRA-MATE® Hook and heavy-duty PS51/PS52 adhesive provide greater holding performance.

Why choose Heavy Duty ULTRA-MATE®? Select this product when greater fastening strength and a broad 50mm contact area are required on a compatible surface. Choose PS14 for general lightweight indoor fastening or PS18 when attaching to suitable PVC or vinyl.

Important: Adhesive performance depends on the exact substrate, preparation, temperature, contact area and load direction. Test a concealed area before completing a large, valuable or safety-critical installation.
