Mini Hose Clips – Fuel Line & Nut & Bolt Clamps

Shop mini hose clips for securing small-bore flexible hose in low-pressure fuel, air, water and other compatible fluid-line applications. Also known as nut and bolt hose clips, fuel line clips or petrol pipe clips, their compact design makes them particularly useful where installation space is limited.

Choose from Jubilee®, Boltza® and On1shelf® mini clips, including zinc-plated mild steel, 304 stainless steel and selected 316 stainless steel options. Individual sizes and assorted clip packs are available. For the correct fit, measure the outside diameter of the hose after it has been installed over its connector.

Mini Hose Clips for Small-Bore Hoses

Mini hose clips provide a compact way to secure small-diameter flexible hose onto a pipe, spigot or connector. They are also commonly described as nut and bolt clips, fuel line clips, petrol pipe clips and small hose clamps.

Instead of the larger screw housing found on a conventional worm-drive hose clip, a mini clip uses a compact nut-and-bolt fastening arrangement. This makes it well suited to small hoses and installations where working space is restricted.

Typical applications include low-pressure fuel lines, carburettor hoses, small air and water pipes, garden machinery, workshop equipment, model engineering and other small-bore hose connections. Always confirm that the selected clip, hose and connector are suitable for the operating pressure, temperature and fluid involved.

    Choose Mini Clips by Brand

Our range includes mini hose clips and assortment packs from established fastening brands:

    • Jubilee® Junior mini clips – genuine Jubilee nut-and-bolt clips for small-bore, relatively low-pressure hose applications, available in selected zinc-plated mild steel and 304 stainless steel options.
    • Boltza® mini clips – practical small-hose fastening options, including zinc-plated mild steel products.
    • On1shelf® mini clips – including selected 316 stainless steel clips for more demanding environments.

    Selecting the Right Material

    Zinc-Plated Mild Steel

Zinc-plated mild steel mini clips provide a strong, economical choice for general automotive, workshop and protected indoor applications. The zinc coating gives the underlying steel a degree of corrosion protection, but these clips are best used away from prolonged exposure to moisture, salt and aggressive chemicals.

    304 Stainless Steel

304 stainless steel offers improved resistance to moisture and general corrosion. It is a useful choice for outdoor equipment, damp locations and applications requiring greater corrosion resistance than zinc-plated mild steel.

    316 Stainless Steel

Selected 316 stainless steel mini clips provide increased resistance in coastal, marine and other demanding environments. Check the individual product specification to confirm the material used for the band, bolt and nut before ordering.

How to Measure for a Mini Hose Clip

Mini clip sizes refer to the outside diameter the clip is designed to secure. Do not select the clip using only the hose bore or internal diameter.

    1. Fit the hose onto its intended pipe, fitting or connector.
    2. Measure the hose's outside diameter at the intended clamping position.
    3. Select a clip whose stated adjustment range includes that measurement.
    4. Check that the clip sits evenly around the hose before tightening.

A clip that is too small may damage the hose or fail to install correctly. A clip that is too large may not generate sufficient clamping pressure even if the fastener can still be tightened.

Mini Clips or Worm-Drive Hose Clips?

Mini clips are generally the better choice for compact, small-bore and relatively low-pressure hose connections. Standard worm-drive hose clips offer a wider adjustment range and are available for much larger hose diameters.

For high-pressure fuel injection, hydraulic or other safety-critical systems, use only a clamp specifically approved and rated for that application. A general-purpose mini fuel line clip should not automatically be treated as suitable for a high-pressure system.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Are mini clips suitable for fuel hose?

They are commonly used on compatible small-bore, low-pressure fuel lines. Confirm the clip size, material, hose compatibility and required pressure rating before installation. They should not be used for high-pressure fuel injection unless the product is specifically approved for it.

What is a nut-and-bolt hose clip?

It is a compact hose clamp tightened using a small bolt and nut. This design is commonly used on fuel, air and other small-diameter flexible hoses.

Should I measure the hose bore or outside diameter?

Measure the hose's outside diameter after it has been fitted over the connector. The measured diameter must fall within the clip's stated size range.

Can mini hose clips be reused?

Some clips can be reused if the band, bolt, nut and threads remain undamaged. Replace any clip showing corrosion, distortion, worn threads or loss of clamping strength.
